Ohio American Royal Miss & Master Preliminary Pageant

We will not be holding any preliminaries for the 2017/2018 pageant year.  Depending on level of interest, preliminary pageants may return for the 2018/2019 pageant year.

Guidelines

 

 

 

 

“We are looking for REAL children and women.  It’s very important to us that each contestant realizes the importance of being yourself!  We are not a glitz pageant, but want our contestants to feel free to express their personalities and sparkle in their wardrobe.  We ask that you take pride in your appearance, keep clothing “age appropriate”, and dress like a role model”

 

There should be little or no makeup on children, no flappers or fake hair on any age group.  Makeup allowed for older girls.  Photogenic pictures must be natural also.

Required Competition includes:

 

Theme Wear – Each contestant will choose an outfit of choice representative the pageant theme.  Will be judged on poise, modeling abilities, stage presence and confidence and appearance.   No costumes please.

 

On-Stage Question - Question will be asked to parent/guardian for ages 0-3.  Ages 5 and up are on stage alone.  Parent/guardian can be on stage for age 4 without any deduction of points.  Question will be based from application.  Will be judged on confidence, appearance, ability to answer questions, articulation and poise.

 

 Optional Photogenic

 

 

Photo must be a natural photo with no retouching.  Guidelines mentioned above on being natural apply.  One photogenic winner will be selected for each division and will receive a medal.  You may submit up to five (5) total photos; the entry fee for this is $10 for the first photo and $5 for each additional photo.  Please submit photos with the application to speed up registration at pageant; photos can be mailed in or emailed to ohamericanroyalmisspageants@yahoo.com.  If you must wait until registration to submit photos, please arrive early and make sure contestant’s name and age division is on back of photo.

 

Other Optional Competitions

 

We also have optional side awards for the following at an additional fee of $5 each:

                Best Dressed

                Prettiest Eyes

                Prettiest Smile

                Prettiest Hair

 

Division winners receive crow, sash and discount to compete in our state pageant finals in May 2016.  Optional Competion Winners receive medals and photogenic winners receives a trophy.  All participants receive a participation trophy.
