Queen Nefertiti Productions LLC, Announces Fundraising

Agreement with CHOICES for Victims of Domestic Violence

Columbus, OH – October 24, 2015 - Queen Nefertiti Productions LLC, a local pageant and event production company, has partnered with CHOICES for Victims of Domestic Violence as an official organization permitted to host events and raise funds for their organization.  As part of this partnership agreement, two of the pageants produced by Queen Nefertiti Productions, Ubuntu Pageants International and the Ohio American Royal Miss Pageant, will be donating a portion of its proceeds to CHOICES as the pageants’ official charity.  In addition, direct donations to CHOICES for Victims of Domestic Violence may be made at pageant events.  Both pageants will take place in Columbus, Ohio, with Ubuntu Pageants International being held February 3-7, 2016 and the Ohio American Royal Miss Pageant being held May 6-8, 2016.

Vanessa King, President of Queen Nefertiti Productions LLC, says she is very grateful for this new partnership with CHOICES for Victims of Domestic Violence.  “Being a survivor of domestic violence makes this partnership opportunity something dear to my heart”, says Ms. King.  “I have been an advocate of domestic violence awareness for years and want to let victims of domestic violence know that they too can be survivors.  By being able to donate a portion of our ticket and program book ad sales and all proceeds from our raffles at the pageant and to solicit direct donations, I’m able to help those in need.”

CHOICES for Victims of Domestic Violence is the only domestic violence safe haven in Franklin County Ohio and offers 51 beds, a 24-hour crisis and information hotline, counseling services, support groups, and legal and community advocates for those impacted by domestic violence.  Annually, CHOICES for Victims of Domestic Violence houses approximately 750 individuals and manages more than 3,000 hotline calls.  “Funding is critical to help CHOICES for Victims of Domestic Violence offer its services…to continue to save lives,” says Ms. King.

According to King, Queen Nefertiti Productions is currently seeking cash sponsors for these events to assist with the cost of hosting these events.  These costs include such things as venue rental, production costs, contestant and winner awards and gifts and more.  Sponsors will receive perks, based on donation level that includes such things as an ad in program book, mention in program book as being a sponsor, mention on the pageant websites and in social media and other advertisement as being a sponsor, VIP Seating, free tickets to all events, and more.  In-kind sponsorship opportunities are also available to help provide gifts/prizes for contestants and winners and for raffles during the pageant events.

“Domestic violence is a serious issue that often goes forgotten because so many people, both male and female, are afraid to report it”, says Ms. King.  “Others turn a deaf-ear to it and just don’t want to get involved.   I’m glad that CHOICES for Victims of Domestic Violence is giving me the opportunity to make a difference.”
